Set in the foreground of the Murcian Mountains and designed by the great Jack Nicklaus, El Valle Golf Club is a blend of masterful golf course design and the natural landscape.
The American Style resort features trademark Nicklaus ‘risk & reward’ golf holes with vast expanses of sand and water being a feature throughout. Elle Valle is by no means as long as some of the modern day monsters that we have become accustomed to, measuring in at just 6,500 yards making it a fair challenge for everyone.

"The relatively flat terrain makes El Valle a pretty easy walk, while the pure white sand, lakes and palm trees make the course truly gorgeous."

The West Course at La Manga is the spearhead of Real Golf La Manga Club with 18 unique golf holes that wind their way through clusters of beautiful pine trees. The course glides across the naturally undulating terrain which creates both subtle and quite drastic changes in elevation which provide both a challenge and stunning views of the natural surroundings for the golfers.
The layout is a decent length but with relatively tight fairways, the West Course does not favour the longer hitters amongst us. Those who hover on the side of caution in terms of club selection off the tee will often score better.

"Never has buying a course planner or studying the buggy GPS map for a course been more important than for the West at La Manga. Multiple dog legs and ditches which crisscross fairways with Elevation changes make it a real thinkers course."

The Signature Course at Alhama is the pinnacle of the Jack Nicklaus trail in Murcia as it is the ‘Signature’ course in the region. Rated as one of the best desert courses in the country, Alhama is renowned for always being in immaculate condition with dangerously quick greens and pristine fairways.
The reasonably wide fairways allow you to open up the shoulders off the tee but this doesn’t mean the course is a walkover as any significantly arrant shots will be punished by thick long rough. In typical Nicklaus fashion, the challenges lie in the approach shots as with deep bunkers and water surrounding most of the greens players must choose whether to take a risk and reap the possible rewards or just play it safe.

"Green complexes are well protected buy deep bunkers and expansive water hazards and even when safely on the green in regulation, two putting is no mean feat."

Designed by golf’s most celebrated player, La Torre Course is reminiscent of some of Nicklaus’s most famous resort style layouts in Florida. The vast expanses of sand and large shimmering bodies of water are a trademark feature of the course and have ruined the round of many a golfer who has played here.
Measuring under 6,000 yards, the course provides a unique challenge for the better players amongst us as it tests a players course management and patience not to try and thrash one off the tee at a short par 4.

"La Torre is playable for golfers of all abilities and while talented players and the big hitters may find it to be comparatively short, the strategy and precision required from the back tees still poses questions of any golfers skill."
