No facilities. Caddy shack on course. No pro-shop. Bar facilities were dreadful like a transport cafe and shared with on site residents who had booked all the outside table for dinner. The course was very similar to the others
No pro shop and once again greens and fairways very sparse.
A good course. You will be paired up with another twoball if you are not already a fourball but that is fine otherwise you will get impatient waiting.
No clubhouse really, course very long and pretty boring after , too many bunkers , greens ok Condition of the fairway was probably the worst ever played on. Basically yourgolftravel really need to improve the course or stop sending golfers to this course
Great layout of holes, a shame the greens were not up to speed.
Due to been closed for the pandemic the course is not in great shape but they are working hard to resolve this. Clubhouse range etc is very dated and pretty poor. Course is interesting and you can’t not be wayward.
Normally this course is the highlight of our trip. However, this year the course was in very poor condition. We understand that the course was closed during Covid and this has left many problems with the course to be corrected.
First the good news, this is a great golf course, demanding and tough with accuracy essential to miss the many bunkers and if you miss the fairways you are inevitably in a lot of trouble. The bad news, the course has suffered badly from being closed for over a year, fairways are in poor conditions and the greens currently awful - patch and bumpy albeit still fast. The course needs time to recover but be in no double the layout is excellent and it will be a great course when it recovers. There is no pro shop to speak of at the moment but the other facilities are good, nice bar, driving range etc
Sad to say that they appear to have lost the course probably due to lack of maintenance during lockdown. A shame because it’s clearly a great layout. Fairways are bare, you can see that they have been heavily watered and seeded, but it’s not having much effect. Greens must have had a minimum of care during lockdown, it seems that fairway and local grasses have taken over from the normal grass, coverage is very thick and matted to the point where the ball doesn’t leave pitch marks and it’s impossible to get a good roll on the ball. I hope to never use the phrase ‘Hairy Hole Rim’ again. From a great deal of personal experience, I can confirm that the bunkers are excellent. Pro Shop is closed, there is a hut by the Practice range with minimal stock, balls, tees, drinks. Food and drinks were good though.
good course with some good testing holes bunkers werent in play as due to the heavey raines they had a few weeks earlier but course in good nick.
Greens were in awful condition, every one appeared diseased. Ball did not run true.
Tough challenge for higher handicaps..great condition, only 2 complaints too many bunkers and improved sinage on directions to holes would be good.
very good would recommend,long course
This is a typical Niklaus course and was playing fairly long for the average golfer and with far too many bunkers (that had magnets drawing my ball towards them)! the greens were in good condition as the area had experienced heavy rain just days prior to us playing.
