The National Golf Club Challenge is a nationwide charity golf event on a scale never seen before. Hundreds of golf clubs throughout the UK will take part by each holding a charity golf day in aid of Help for Heroes.
In addition to participating in the UK‟s largest amateur charity golf event, golfers throughout the British Isles will be playing against each other for some fantastic prizes, including playing the final at The Belfry. Every golf club in the United Kingdom and Ireland is invited to enter their club in to The 2013 National Golf Club Challenge.
The aim of the Challenge is to find The Help for Heroes National Golf Club Champions 2013. At the same time raising much needed funds for the Help for Heroes charity.

The Seve Ballesteros Foundation works in tandem with Cancer Research UK in an attempt to raise money for research into brain cancer.
Cancer Research UK is a world leader in basic research, aiming to understand the fundamental biological processes that are at work in cancer cells. The knowledge gained from this work will help the Foundation to find new ways to tackle many different forms of the disease, including brain tumours.

The battleback programme is tri-service iniative which uses sport, among other things in the aftercare of wounded service personnel in order to aid their rehabilitation and return to a more normal active life.
The battleback golf programme came into effect in 2009 and is run by Major Tristan Crew and Officer Zeno Gomes. The use of sports and outdoor activities has a proven track record to aid succesful physical and psychological rehabilitation, providing the foundation for the development of a positive self image and outlook on life, and the battleback golf scheme certainly seems to have started to achieve that on an ongoing process.
Battle Back is a military initiative designed to introduce injured service personnel to sports and adventurous training activities. Battle Back supports a number of different activities including; sailing, diving, skiing, paragliding and competitive Olympic events.
