Bernardus Golf presents a formidable 18-hole championship golf course, rated as one of the premier courses in Europe. It was designed by the esteemed American architect Kyle Phillips, known for his work on renowned courses such as Kingsbarns, The Grove, and Yas Links.
Spanning 85 hectares, Bernardus Golf is crafted as a heathland course, featuring four Par 3 holes, ten Par 4 holes, and four Par 5 holes. The strategically placed bunkers are aesthetically pleasing, while the challenging water hazards integrate harmoniously with the surrounding dunes, heath, and gorse.
At Bernardus Golf, sustainability is a top priority. The course is maintained without the use of chemicals; rather, a dedicated team of 17 greenkeepers diligently ensures the facilities are kept in pristine condition. Their efforts focus on maintaining the appropriate balance of bacteria and fungi in the soil, promoting optimal grass health through natural methods.
Since its inception, Bernardus Golf has proudly hosted the Dutch Open in 2021, 2022, and 2023, which are part of the European PGA Tour.
