The K Club Golf & Spa Resort

A truly luxurious four days. The hotel and grounds are a must to see. The staff could not have been more attentive and the food was fabulous. Did not manage to get to the spare so another good reason to return.

The K Club had the friendliest staff EVER! They were a delight and so helpful, amazing. The hotel was fab, really lovely. The annoying bits were, the room was very warm with only a fan to cool it, the shower didn’t really have ‘hot’ water, it was tepid at best and the room could do with a mini fridge. Pool and spa were good, the gym was really good and well equipped for a hotel gym. The grounds were beautiful, it was all lovely and we would definitely return.

The Hotel and staff were spectacular. They made us feel very special during our stay.

We arrived not knowing what to expect and we were blown away. The place is incredible.

Absolutely fabulous! The staff were extremely helpful, yet relaxed, throughout our stay. The quality of the hotel accommodation and food was excellent. It was a wonderful experience.

Stayed in K Club at end of November. Risky booking parkland course at this time of year but we were very lucky. Hotel lovely and staff superb. Very friendly and very helpful. Bedroom very nice and ensuite enormous! Christmas decorations up and it was all very festive!

We were due to stay in Courtyard but,on arrival, were very pleasantly surprised to find ourselves in main hotel which is excellent. Regrettably, we had not booked for dinner in hotel and had to eat at Palmer clubhouse. Food and service were great but ambience was not same standard.

We were treated like royalty, we were given an upgrade, which set the tone for our stay, the staff are wonderful, helpful and professional.

The gentleman placed in the courtyard apartments has some troublesome plumbing issues (notably non flushing toilet and blocked showers). The hotel rooms for two of the party were of the highest standard. Facilities and atmosphere amazing

we had a really nice stay at the hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The location is also really nice, close to the airport.

We had a great time away at the K Club. Both golf courses were brilliant and very enjoyable for all levels of golfer. We had two 20 handicappers and while the courses were both really tough tests of golf, they enjoyed it immensely. Both courses were both in terrific condition with particularly good greens. They were immaculate. 

The clubhouse was pretty quiet which was a bit of a shame and pints were quite expensive but you have to expect that in a 5 star hotel. The free one went down a treat though!

We ate in the new K-Thai restaurant which was super, with the staff members and the food being top class. The prices in here were fairly reasonable to so I’d definitely recommend it.

Overall we were very pleased with our trip and while prices were fairly high while at the resort, the overall value for money of the trip itself we thought was excellent. 

Overall I would rate the trip a good solid 8.5 out of 10. The golf courses for me were even more impressive than carton house, but the overall package of carton house still just edges it for me.

I would highly recommend both YourGolfTravel and the K Club for your next golf trip. The service from YGT was excellent and the hospitality and service in the K Club was outstanding. I'm a veteran of these types of golf trips and this was undoubtedly one of the best ever. Both golf courses at the K Club are challenging and interesting to play and the 'craic' in the 19th afterwards was legendary.

What a golf break!

Visiting the K club was one of the best golfing experiences we've ever had. On arrival to the grounds of the hotel and the surrounding golf courses, we knew we were entering 5* territory...luxury at its best!

From arrival to main reception within the hotel, as well as both club houses, the warm, friendly and courteous manner from everyone was evident to see. We were made to feel at ease and it was as if we were at our own home club.

Both golf courses are outstanding with plenty of thought and precise shots required due to clever use of natural water features and perfectly placed bunkers. There’s no grip it and rip it on these courses! I would have to say the Palmer Ryder course is the best course I have ever played, with beautiful fairways and really true greens, even at this time of the year.

One of the most beautiful holes is the par 5 16th which runs along the river Liffey. To reach the green a shot must be played across the river to a green raised up high and it’s truly stunning. Pure excitement no matter your ability.

Overall the K Club is a wonderful place to stay and play with quality in abundance everywhere you turn. And when you think of all the professionals who have walked the very same fairways before you, it makes the whole experience a privilege.

I have no hesitation in saying the K club was the best golf resort I have played at and 10 out of 10 for accommodation, food, golf, and the sheer ambience of the place. We’ll definitely be returning.

Our time spent at The K Club recently was really fantastic. It's a fabulous hotel not only for the setting which is amazing, but the friendliness of the hotel staff, quality of food and service as well. It was all outstanding.

I thought both golf courses were in excellent condition and beautifully maintained. The Palmer Course was my favourite but that said, there's not much to choose between them as they both offer the golfer a tough challenge!

We all said we would definitely return but with more friends as we had such a fantastic time. I must compliment Your Golf Travel as well on your outstanding service and efficiency. You made it very easy for us all so thank you.

The hotel at the K Club and the Palmer Course were an absolute dream and the staff at both the golf courses, as well as the hotel were excellent - full marks there!

Unfortunately the Smurfit Course wasn’t really fit to play golf on due to the heavy rain and muddy conditions and whilst the greens were really good considering, the fairways in places were like a bog.

We appreciate the resort cannot control the conditions but we couldn’t figure why 2 courses on the same patch of land were in such stark contrast when it came to overall condition.   

It did not detract from our enjoyment however.

As I said, the staff could not have done more for us throughout our stay, and even gave us a complimentary 9 holes on the Palmer for a 21st birthday present, with a gift box with a ball marker and pitch mark repairer thrown in too.

You simply cannot fault the people, the location, the spectacular setting and the overall experience in any way!

Just a short message to say thank you to Your Golf Travel for organising our golf trip to The K Club; both of the golf courses were top class and in great condition, especially considering the time of year we visited. Full credit must go to the green keeping staff for this.

The apartments are ideal for groups of golfers sharing and are of a very high standard. I’ll be recommending both The K Club and yourselves to my golfing friends and hopefully it won’t be too long before I’ll be in touch with you again myself.

The south course is a members course and is one of the most picturesque corses we have played. Can’t wait to go back next year.

There had been a pro-am the previous two days and they were setting the course up for the Irish Open a couple of days later. The course was in fantastic condition and a true test if fault. Will certainly go back.

Dissapointing more like a municipal course , lack of etiquette . Trainers and tracksuit bottoms on course , hats on in the clubhouse etc

5 hour round was the only downside and not being able to play off the whites

We arrived early as advised to spend som time at the club, the main restaurant wasn’t open, so we had to make do with the small cafe, that only have eight seats, the course was busy….so no seats were available inside. However…..the experience of playing the course, which was in great condition and the Guinness in the restaurant (when it opened) overlooking the 18th hole made up for it. I am already looking at when I can go back

The course was very quiet and we set our own pace. At times it felt like we were the only ones there. Course excellent but challenging

Sadly they allowed 2 comps on to the course at the same time and a Marshall then marshalled them through asking that we all let them through. We did this only to then constantly be delayed as they took too long to play their shots and arguably were the slowest golfers on the course. The Marshall appeared to have little concern when we challenged the situation . Our round became closer to 6 hours and we were then forced to go directly into dinner as the kitchen was shutting. Tee off at 14.30 finish at 20.15 dinner 20.45 kitchen closes 21.00 was a lot of money to end up rushed.

One of The best courses I’m ever likely to play, everything about it was special, we all got buggies out but one lad fancied Carrying one of the staff spotted him on the 6th hole and came back out with an electric trolley for him. The service was impeccable.

What a great course pity it was wet but you cant do anything about the rain still enjoyed it

Enjoyed once again playing the K Club but pity the fairways had been recently sanded. Improved signage indicating direction of next tee box would be helpful

The course was amazing. The greens really well kept. It was quiet but we had an early start, so it was quick. The staff and pros were super helpful, having never played this course before it was a bit more difficult but amazing. We will go back for sure in a few months.

Great test of golf

My only constructive criticism would be that holes should have plan of the hole on the tee box or a stroke saver made available, like the North course, which had both. Playing for the first time we were unsure where we were hitting to, especially on blind holes.

Greens a bit damp, but to be expected. Played with a few members that was highlight of experience.

The course was fantastic and after the previous days weather it was in great condition. It was a hard course but that is what we wanted and expected from a Ryder Cup course. Pro Shop and green keepers were very accommodating.

We thoroughly enjoyed our round of golf. Play was slow on the last 4 holes but otherwise very reasonable. The greens were excellent. The course was demanding due to the number of bunkers and water. We would enjoy another round!

Really enjoyed this course. Under foot conditions soft but greens in good condition. Course a good test of golf and had a heathland feel. Perhaps not as scenic as Palmer North but very nice. Loved the names of the holes reflecting the wildlife in the area.

Golf was delayed by an hour and a half due to frost. The golf team did everything to get us on the course. We really enjoyed our game. Ladies tees/red tees were well ahead of mens but inspite of this the course was challenging. Our round was quick, underfoot conditions goid on fairways and greens very receptive and true. Really enjoyed our game bearing in mind it was November and it exceeded our expectations

Typical Ryder Cup course so if you like the Brabazon, 2010, or the PGA at Gleneagles you’ll love this. A lot of water on a lot of the holes (I swear most of it is magnetic) and if your not playing this at the height of summer it can be quite soft under foot. That said, the greens were pacy and some tricky pin positions made for tough approaches. The estate however is something to behold. It’s beautiful as are the facilities and again for those who love the Ryder cup, plenty on display for you. Good course but a shame we played it at the end of October

Great all around experience. Airified greens on the back was a bit of a bummer but didn't ruin the experience. Top stuff!

Beautiful course. 3 of 4 electric trolleys were defective (GPS out of order, velocity always changing, no fixation of the bag). Therefore we got a credit for the amount we spent for the trolleys.

Great course with several challenges throughout. Had a fantastic round and a place to sit and enjoy some cold pints outside afterwards.

A very good test but condition was poor. Greens had been heavily sanded. The all-too-many bunkers were virtually Unplayable - like cement after rain (but should be planned for Irish weather) and hadn't been raked in weeks. Clubhouse should be torn down. While relatively good value, overall experience badly affected by shortcomings.

Great course but, having played there often, am still surprised at very poor drainage - the course was extremely soggy (in August), making it very long.

This is really the better course. We changed over and played it 2 times. No halfway hut or buggy with drinks going round, odd as they had one on the Palmer course.

Awesome experience. Best parkland course. Have now played 3 Ryder Cup courses and this is by far the best.

Unfortunately the weather was not in our favour but still a great golfing experience

Course a little bit tired in places probably due to high summer traffic. Wonderfully scenic however and the 16th is a joy (once the old Victorian bridge is repaired it will be back to its full former glory. The course is well worth it but might need some tender care this winter to be back to its full glory.

Magnificent test of golf but the higher handicappers struggled in breezy conditions and fast greens. Brilliant to play but in a group of wide ranging handicaps a test too far for some

Great to play a Ryder Cup course but after playing the others on the coast was hard to comapare. Course had plenty of water challenges but did not have many real stand out holes. A little disappointing.

The Smurfit course was in a good shape. The course has a nice layout, with some really memorable holes.
