Le Riou Course

Le Riou can be stretched to 6,567 yards at its fullest, and is the ideal resort layout; whilst the average golfing tourist should find it negotiable, the strategic positioning of the hazards ensures that the low-handicappers will find sufficient challenge. Sophisticated construction and state-of-the-art irrigation technology guarantee that Le Riou is maintained impeccable condition, while the surrounding scenery will more than redeem a sorry scorecard.

Le Chateau Course

For serious golfers, Le Château is the one to play. With a magnificent blank canvas and a fairly substantial budget to work with, esteemed designer Dave Thomas has created a masterpiece. Carved around some spectacular water hazards and bordered by mature woodland, Le Château has a fantastic variety of holes that require great creativity and guile, while the perfectly manicured greens will leave you no excuses for failing to convert birdie chances. With views towards the Southern Alps, this Provençal gem is a real treat.

The all-suite and villa resort prides itself on luxurious space, comfort and privacy through a combination of traditional and contemporary Provençal decor.

The use of white stone and local red clay provides a warm colour scheme with tones of gold and terracotta, synonymous with the architecture throughout southern France. In harmony with nature, the hotel offers 115 suites and separated villas with private terraces and lounges. In addition, there’s a splendid dressing area that lets you unpack and get comfortably settled in, whatever the length of your stay.

The spacious bathrooms feature a heated floor and a superb marble mosaics. They are all fitted with a bath, separate shower with glass screen and a double sink. With plenty of space, our elegant Suites & Villas are perfect for couples and families.

La Faventia is the restaurant to head for if looking for Michelin Star cuisine, the menu is inspired by Philippe Jourdin accompanied by a luxurious wine list and a great view of the distant mountains.

Our villa was very well appointed and spacious, well located close to the main part of the resort. For breakfast and dinner we were very well looked after with excellent food. We will be back !

Rooms are lovely and staff very helpful, but prices are too excessive and do not represent value for money. It is a 4-star resort charging 5-star prices

Very Good

Facilities were great and the staff could not have tried harder. The £50 double gin and tonic and the £160 John Dory left me speechless. Lovely place but eat away from the resort. The concierge were a great source for great local restaurants

There were two courses. The Chateau played very long The second course The Riou was far more interesting and strategic Both were in excellent condition

Le Riou is by far the more picturesque course and was in much better condition than Le Chateaux. Overall, I would not return to Terreblanche as it is way too dear for what it offers and there are many better resorts to choose from.

Poor

The course was in a terrible state with tees uneven and chewed up and fairways bare in many places due to the hot summer, lack of water and use of environmentally friendly chemicals which are not as good as the previous ones. Very disappointing altogether

Very Good

Greens had been treated and we got a discount for greens. Unfortunately someone was hit by a ball on the 2nd so I can’t comment on the rest of the course

A 146 slope rating but fair challenge for mid handicaps off yellow tees. You need a buggy. Really enjoyed it
