Los Arqueros’ 13th deserves its status as signature hole not just for the challenge that it presents, but also for its magnificent scenery of ‘Mare Nostrum’. On clear days, it is even possible to see the coast of Africa and the Atlas Mountain Range. The golf is nothing short of spectacular either, and from an elevated tee the fairway starts off narrow, before it veers off to the right. It is possible to attempt a ‘Seve’ in cutting the corner and going for the green in two. However, this is a dangerous approach and anything to the right of the green will result in a lost ball, while anything short will be swallowed up by the greenside bunker. A fade would suit this approach well, as the left side of the green is guarded by an uphill slope. A stunning golf hole, offering much in the way of risk-reward.
