A fantastic welcome from the staff particularly in the pro shop. Lovely course, interesting holes with water and bunkers. The sand in the bunkers was a little hard, probably due to the poor weather. Overall very enjoyable
Little Aston is one of England’s most loved inland courses enjoying an enviable position in the Top 100 courses of Great Britain and Ireland. The course was designed in 1908 by 5-time Open Champion Harry Vardon and shortly afterwards was re-modelled by Harry Colt.
Little Aston is predominantly a parkland course set in the mature former estate of Little Aston Hall, situated on the outskirts of the Royal Town of Sutton Coldfield. The Club has over the years hosted many tournaments both Amateur and Professional; these include the English Amateur, Brabazon Trophy and British Boys Championships as well as the Dunlop Masters Professional Tournament; in recent times it has also held Open Qualifying and staged the Ladies Home Internationals in 2017.
Before your round one of the most unique putting greens in golf should be sampled on any visit and, after the round, golfers can relax over a drink or meal in a clubhouse that is steeped in history and tradition.
