I started playing golf at 13 when a friend and I took his father's clubs to a nearby field. As soon as I hit my first proper shot (after a few questionable strikes) I was hooked.
I grew up playing my Junior golf at Sweetwoods Park on the Sussex, Kent and Surrey border. I then went on to play National events and represent Bournemouth University 1st team.
After joining Your Golf Travel I moved to Putney and joined Roehampton Club. Marriage and Two children later; I have recently joined the famous Harry Colt designed Blackmoor Golf Club in Hampshire. Looking forward to finding a golf swing again sometime in the spring.

Having studied at Bournemouth University, I was spoiled for choice with golf in that region. Ferndown, Remedy Oak and Parkstone being my favorites. My grandparents and parents live along the coast towards Lymington, so Barton on Sea is a must play for anyone that enjoys golf with a view!
Each year I love to head over to Le Touquet and Hardelot for a couple of nights and rounds. Belle Dune, La Mer and Les Pins being my favourite courses to play in the region. So easy to travel to from the South East of England.
The best golf holiday I've experienced? Has to be a trip to the Costa Del Sol I did a few years ago. We stayed in Marbella for 2 nights at the Marbella Club hotel and played Los Naranjos and Marbella Club. We then headed down to Estepona / Sotogrande and played Valderrama, Finca Cortesin and Real Club de Sotogrande which all rank in the top 20; continental Europe. Valderrama is the hardest golf course I have ever played; it's a true masterpiece in design and condition. A bucket list course that all golfers should experience.
Portugal
Staying at Dona Filipa Hotel 5* playing San Lorenzo, Quinta do Lago & Monte Rei. Brilliant hotel & world class golf, a must for any discerning golfer.
Spain
Spoilt for golfing choice this region boasts some of the best courses on the planet. The gem of the region Valderrama is an incredible day out, although dont expect to get 36 stableford points round here!
Portugal
Whether you're staying in Cascais or at the Praia Del Rey resort this region of Portugal is great value for money. My personal favourite are the Oitavos Dunes and West Cliff layouts.
Turkey
Now a well established golfing destination, Belek is a golfers paradise. Beautiful 5* All Inclusive hotels and 16+ golf courses to choose from. Tip for booking a package here, you need to reserve your stay about 12 months in advance - Very popular!
Wales
Having never travelled to North Wales before i'm excited to play some of the best links courses in the British Isles.
Spain
I have been to La Manga 3 times, I love going back there. Great for Golf, Tennis and Cycling.
Northern France
Short hop across the Channel and drive down to Le Touquet. The Westminster Hotel is newly refurbished and looks incredible. My favourite courses in the region are - Hardelot Dunes, La Mar and Belle Dune.
