Turnberry Isle Country Club

As part of the redevelopment, golfing legend Raymond Floyd was charged with redesigning both of the championship courses on site. Turnberry Isle Country Club then went from strength to strength having been able to host both PGA Tour and LPGA Tour events across both courses.

The resort boasts two excellent layouts, named the Soffer and Miller courses, which both offer a great challenge for all level of golfers.

Soffer Course

The Soffer Course at JW Marriott Turnberry Isle is renowned for its challenging nature, setting it apart from the other course on the property. Originally designed by the esteemed Robert Trent Jones Sr. in the early 1970s, the course underwent a transformation in 2007 under the guidance of Raymond Floyd. Floyd's enhancements included incorporating contours and mounding, resulting in changes in elevation and a visually stunning layout.

Measuring over 7,000 yards from the tips, the Soffer Course presents a formidable challenge to even the most experienced golfers. Its reputation as a challenging course has led to its selection as the host for various PGA and LPGA tournaments over the years.
