The present course, founded in 1926, was modified by golfer turned architect, James Braid. Overlooked by the Slieve Bloom Mountains, the length of the 6,428 yard course off the back markers is highlighted by the par four 16th, in which extreme distance & accuracy is required to come away with a par.
