25th - 28th July 2024
The Senior Open Presented by Rolex will return to Scotland in 2024, taking place at Carnoustie for the first time in eight years.
Darren Clarke emerged victorious the last time the event was in Scotland, fending off a late challenge from his former Ryder Cup teammate Padraig Harrington at Gleneagles in 2022. Clarke's triumph saw him join an esteemed group of golfers, including Tom Watson, Sir Bob Charles, and Gary Player, who have won both The Open and Senior Open championships.

The Championship course at Carnoustie offers an unparalleled experience that will put every shot in the golfers repertoire to the test. With a rich history, the course has witnessed victories from renowned figures in the sport, including Tom Watson and Ben Hogan. It has also been witness to the downfall of players like Tiger Woods and the infamous collapse of Jean van de Velde.
The Senior Open returns to Carnoustie after a hiatus of eight years, making it the thrid time the course has hosted the event. In 2010, Germany's Bernhard Langer secured his first Senior Major title by defeating Corey Pavin by a single stroke, while England's Paul Broadhurst clinched the championship in 2016 by defeating Scott McCarron by two strokes, thereby cementing his position among the top players in the Senior game.
