Everyone told us that we would either love or hate this course and we loved it. A bit quirky at times but overall a very good experience and we are pleased that we played it. We were unlucky that the greens had been sanded on the day of our arrival and that is the reason for the low rating but I think that had they not been sanded they would have been superb. Very welcoming staff who went out of their way to ensure that we enjoyed our day there.
Described as "Pine Valley on steroids" and "golf's rock and roll thrill ride", Tobacco Road Golf Club is certainly unique and will no doubt provide any visiting golfer with an exciting and testing golfing experience that will live long in the memory. With elements of heathland, links and parkland, Tobacco Road is a heady blend of all that is great about the game of golf and while it is consistently rated amongst the nation's best, Tobacco Road is a must play course for any golfer on a golf holiday in the Carolinas.
