0800 043 6644The main attraction at Sea Island is the 1929 Seaside Course, which is surely among the most visually stunning courses in the United States. But the enchanting experience that the Seaside Course is not only due to the surroundings; the layout was formed by the legendary Harry Colt, arguably England's most famous architectural son.
Carved through the great swathes of perfect white sand and mounds of wild rough are holes of undeniable quality and remarkable beauty. A complete revision of the Seaside Course was completed in 1999 by Tom Fazio, ensuring that the layout is as exceptional as ever.
The courses at Sea Island can boast a modern association as well with one of the greatest players of the game in Davis Love III. Davis grew up playing his golf at Sea Island, courtesy of his father who was a professional at the club. Love III's association has run deep into the foundations of the resort following his work redesigning and improving the courses found here.

The Plantation Course is the perfect contrast to the Seaside, carving through impressive stands of mature cedar and oak. The initial design formulated by Walter Travis was recently reworked by Rees Jones, which has greatly enhanced its impact. Winding around lakes and creeks, the Plantation and its terrific Atlantic views is sure to live long in the memory.
In recent times the course has been redesigned by Mark Love and Davis Love III of Love Golf Design to create a course that provides a telling challenge and yet provides something that recognises the courses heritage and work originally done by Walter Travis many decades before.
Water comes into play on no less than 9 holes on the Retreat Course, which was designed in consultation with Sea Island native Davis Love III. The stunning pines are at times Augusta-esque, and epitomize the magnificence that golf in Georgia can provide. By no means a weak link, the Retreat Course completes what is a stunning line up at the world-renowned Sea Island resort.
The luxury accommodation options at Sea Island are vast and provide a superb choice regardless of the makeup of your golfing group.
Sea Island offers a variety of accommodation options when staying at the resort. The Cloister is lively and inviting. The Lodge, warm and distinctive. Enjoy the fresh casual setting of The Inn. Have a place to call your own with a Cottage. Or escape to the refined wilderness of Broadfield. Whatever brings you to Sea Island, there will be the right space for you.
The Cloister
This five-star accommodation option is one that provides a warm and Southern welcome that is entirely suited to a golf destination that has welcomed guests to play their special links golf courses since 1928.
With a choice of restaurants to enjoy, including the marquee Georgian Room, which is Georgia's only restaurant to receive the Forbes five-star restaurant rating, and the ever-popular Tavola Restaurant which blends local ingredients with an international Italian feel.
Those seeking a truly memorable experience should be sure to head to the wine cellar which boasts more than 1,000 different wines from across the world. Set within an intimate surrounding the wine cellar features a pine-wooden ceiling that is from a South Carolina sawmill from the 1800's and stunning dining table, crafted from English Oak.
Discover The Cloister, a Forbes Five-Star accommodation. You can’t help but see how beautiful it is. But it’s the little things that will captivate you. How the light comes into your room just so when the sun is setting. The birds chirping cheerfully as you walk by the solarium. A game of checkers in the lobby. Tea and cookies in the afternoon. You’ll feel right at home. Because this is a place where staff feels more like family. Where fun and adventure wait at every turn.
Guests can also enjoy luxury leisure facilities including an award-winning spa and a host of outdoor pursuits within the amazing grounds which make up this special part of the USA.
The Lodge
With incredible views of the sea, an oceanfront pool and mature Georgian countryside, a stay at The Lodge is one that enjoys an impressive position that few resorts anywhere in the world can compete with.
The accommodation choices are vast with a choice of 57 bedrooms and 6 cottages to enjoy. So, whatever your expectation on your stay, golfers heading here can combine 5-star luxury with the feeling of a much smaller, boutique hotel.
The Inn at Sea Island
With a modern look and feel, The Inn at Sea Island is a popular choice for golfers. With access to the amazing facilities and great golf courses at Sea Island but without the five-star accreditation found at The Lodge and The Cloister at Sea Island.
Guests can enjoy an excellent outdoor swimming pool which is perfect for a bit of release after a round of golf. Oddly enough one of the most popular options for off-the-course activities is actually enjoying the indoor simulator located at The Inn, booking in advance is well-recommended and is a great place to spend some time with your friends without the penalties of lost balls for off-line drives.
Beautiful hotel, spacious well furnished clean rooms. Small pool in Center of hotel free to use. Hotel bar is complete with two golf simulators.
Nice place but limited food in house
We stayed at the Inn on Sea Island Road which is not part of the Hotel which is useful to know beforehand as to go to the correct place first time. The Inn was nice, rooms spacious, clean and very comfortable with two big double beds which were ideal for 2 people sharing a room. The Staff were friendly, courteous and so helpful. We all would stay there again.
The lodge is a great hotel with a great location on the island.

Another stunning golf course, immaculately presented. We played it the day after the SEC college championship, therefore the flag positions were tough, but the greens were 13 to 14 on the stimp meter which were difficult to say the least!. Facilities were also excellent.
We had a Tornado Warning the night before we played, so the weather was not great with heavy downpours during our round which made the Course incredibly wet with lots of surface water which unfortunately did not allow to play the Golf Course in its best condition. Having said that we enjoyed playing it because it is superb Golf Course with a great layout and definitely worth another visit, our Forecaddie Geoff was great and very helpful which despite the Weather made it a fun day. The Clubhouse is amazing with undoubtedly the best Mens Locker room I have ever seen, go there if you get a chance.
The course round was pretty nice, the view on the sea from some holes was pretty good. The conditions of the greens were excellent. Driving range and short game area were very well. Also the stuff was very friendly.
