The town is an incredibly historic one and the best way to understand the fascinating stories from years gone by is to visit the RNLI Henry Blogg Museum which takes you on a journey through time, explaining the ways people risked their lives at sea for the good of the town. Furthermore, for those who have come with young children or enjoy wildlife then the Amazona Zoo is a wonderful place to see some exotic creatures up close and is only a 4 minute drive from the Red Lion hotel. The Wensum Valley Golf Country is also a 40 minute drive away but despite being a little further away it is well worth the drive. The club boasts 2 glorious 18 hole golf courses with the Wensum Course hosting the YourGolfTravel.com European CHampionship in 2011 making it the only course in Norfolk to host a PGA Europro Event.
One of the cosiest places I’ve stayed in an incredible location right on the sea front. Dinner was exceptional with fresh fish and breakfast just as good. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else when we play up there in future.
Due to the single occupancy it was very expensive, but still it is a great location
