We were two 4 balls and played the course twice in six days of golf. This is a very pretty course and also quite difficult for the average golfer. Most Tee shots involved negotiating trees and there are two par 3’s involving long carries over water. These were the most difficult greens not only extremely rapid but extremely undulating and the 11th par 5 had an impossible green. Overall a very beautiful course and worth a visit but take some tissues to wipe the tears when you’re lovely shots into the greens do not stop.
Quinta do Peru is a relatively new development, but in its short existence it has established a reputation as one of the best courses in Lisbon. It has already been chosen to host a major ladies professional event, and there are plans afoot to develop the venue further to host the most prestigious championships.
