Water comes into play at the 12th and the 17th holes, with the lake mirroring the sky and the shimmering town of El Jadida.
The climate here is great for golf, hovering around 30 degrees in summer and 20 degrees in winter and many professionals use it as a training camp during winter period. The 6,800-yard course consists of two very interesting halves. The way out is a typical inland course with eucalyptuses and water hazards, requiring the golfer to exercise some strategy to score well, while the back nine leads from the forest towards the ocean. The finishing holes, often played with a light sea breeze as the ocean is nearby, are very links like and a joy to play. The signature hole is arguably the 16th, a par-3, where players have to stay focused on the 200-yard tee shot, avoiding the distraction of the magnificent sea views.
