0800 043 6644The Open Course at Moonah Links is one of the longest courses in Australia, and probably in the world in this category. It is a mighty and ferocious test of golfing ability, the likes of which even the top pros only occasionally experience.
In terms of difficulty, a club-handicapped player would merit an extra eight strokes assistance to return a net par score, yet the course has great flexibility. It can be played at many different lengths depending on tees selected.
In addition to its conducive natural contours, the site is blessed with ever-present wind of some direction and strength, and this enhances its attributes.
The Legends Course stands as a tribute to past champions who have contributed to the rich history of Australian golf.
In contrast to the Open Course, which was purpose built to challenge the modern champion, the Legends Course is a more friendly golfing experience for players of all ages and abilities.
The course is a loop of 18 holes that generally follow the valleys through a variety of landscapes ranging from ancient Moonah woodlands to open links land. The fairways are generous and the putting surfaces gentle, but the bunkering style is bold and wild in appearance. At 6,315 metres, the course should be fun, but it won't be a pushover.
In 2012 Peppers Moonah Links Resort was voted #4 on the Luxury Travel Gold List for Best Australian Golf Resort. This modern and stylish Mornington Peninsula accommodation is very popular with avid golfers, housing two championship courses.
The accommodation on Mornington Peninsula is at one of Australia's most unique leisure resorts. Enjoy the landscaped gardens and rolling green hills views outside your deluxe room or suite. Treat yourself to a relaxing spa treatment or outdoor thermal hot spring bath at the neighbouring Peninsula Hot Springs. Moonah Rooms, One Bedroom Suites and Open Rooms feature stylish décor with a natural palette and modern appliances. Look out over the golf course to Cups Estate Vineyard, nearby Peninsula Hot Springs and neighbouring farmland. Rest and relax in contemporary and spacious surroundings.
Food and wine fans are also well looked after, with the finest examples of premium Pinot Noir expertly coupled with Mornington’s best produce at the resort’s Pebbles Restaurant.
