Course and facilities look excellent prior to getting onto the course itself. Quite boggy in places on the fairways. No run on the fairways and needed to clean ball after every shot. Greens were in poor condition - had all undergone some treatment in the days prior to our round, bumpy striations all over the greens. Made it very difficult to put with any consistency - ball changing direction due to striations and bobbling around. This aspect very disappointing.

The Golden Bear's creation may overlook Carmarthen Bay on the South Coast, but any preconceptions about a links course will be quickly confounded on first glance.
