Designed by golf architect Ross Watson, the stunning tree-lined course will challenge golfers of all abilities while demanding intelligent shot selection to find the fairways and green in regulation. The layout boasts 18 unique holes with mixed species of tree lining the fairways, including some oil palms that are 40 years old and have been kept to retain the character of the course.
Throughout the course, golfers will be met with challenging hazards on almost every hole, with water coming into play on nine occasions. The zoysia fairways are in pristine condition while the sand hazards feature a new 'bunker fabric' technology, allowing them to have higher lips without becoming pot bunkers, to maintain the look and feel of the course.
There are many reasons why Kota Permai has continued to receive awards year after year. Picking up accolades like Best Course, Best Greens and Best Course Maintenance has become second nature. The USPGA specified greens are made up of tifdwarf grass, allowing for a perfect putting surface all year round and reach speeds of up to 12 feet or more when prepared for championship events.

Signature Hole:
The signature hole at Kota Permai is the 2nd. The par 4 plays at 306 metres from the white tees and is arguably the most stunning hole on the course. With water running down the left and a green protected by some intimidating bunkers, accuracy is imperative. Reach the green in two and you'll have to deal with the lighning fast greens to secure a birdie on what has been voted Malaysia's most beautiful hole.
Practice facilities:
Before heading out onto the course, golfers can get some practice in at the brilliant practice facilities on offer. Head to the two-tier, 60 bay driving range to find your distance or sharpen up your short game at the putting green and chipping area.
Clubhouse and other facilities:
The recently renovated clubhouse boasts incredible facilities for a golf club. Golfers wanting to continue their leisurely activities can at the Olympic-sized swimming pool or at the selection of badminton, squash and tennis course.
However, if you're looking to relax, then the spa and beauty services are equally as impressive, with spa pools, saunas, massage treatments and even yoga classes available to use.
