Unfortunately we arrived in Marrakech when they were experiencing unusually high temperatures. It 34- 36 *C The air conditioning was not switched on and the rooms were stifling hot. We asked the reception staff if they could switch it on but the said they could not as it was hotel policy! The air on only goes on on 31 st March. We asked if we could have a standard fan but this was turned down. So our first few nights were very uncomfortable. We could not sleep with the windows open as the hotel is on a busy road with traffic passing by frequently. We were give 2 small bottles of water on the first day ( the smallest you can get eg the ones I used to put in my kids lunch bow when they were in reception!) We were not left any water in our rooms after that and were told we had to buy it at the bar. The cost was 250 dirim for one large bottle. We bought 6 in the market for 200 dirum The staff at breakfast were very un helpful and the lady who cooks the eggs etc really needs to learn how it make an omelette. They were often like scrambled eggs The tables were frequently covered in crumbs as we sat down. I presume the staff had Iftar here early before us but forgot to clean the tables If you wanted a drink form the bar when at the pool you had to in search of a member of staff in order to order one The rooms were clean and spacious The pool was lovely and well maintained with pool music which was pleasant The restaurant in the evening was soleless and we did not eat here Probably because breakfast was so dreadful we decided not to risk it This is my 4 th trip to Marrakech staying in different hotels and it is the first time I have had such bad negative service Generally speaking all my experiences have been with superb friendly staff who have always been helpful I would not return to the Kech ever
