Fantastic for a golf party food good ,the hotel bar and staff were very good ,late bar always a benefit,
Good rooms great food and very close to courses.
Very comfortable, very friendly and relaxed environment. Hotel team were excellent. Good breakfast, comfortable rooms.
Friendly staff and comfortable surroundings
The hotel was clean and comfortable and in a great location for golf at Head fort golf course. The food was excellent and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. They were so nice, definitely recommend this hotel.
The hotel itself and facilities were excellent. We were booked in for 2 days half board, when we spoke to the receptionist she did not know that HB means half board and not just bed and breakfast, therefore we missed out on an evening meal as it took her 2 days to sort it out. Restaurant on the first morning was very slow, and it took nearly an hour for our breakfasts to arrive. Second day was great it only took 10 mins. The food was lovely.
Another amazing weekend in Headfort. The staff were efficient and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble especially Deborah who looked after us
Great hotel, close tonlocal shops and bars and only a two minute drive to golf course, evening mean and breakfast where great all staff really friendly
The hotel was very nice and the rooms were very clean, but best of all were the staff who were very friendly and the food which was superb.
Lovely stay in the centre of Kells for our annual golf trip. Friendly staff, comfortable beds, good food.
Great hotel. Family run and very welcoming. The staff are excellent
Had 3 rooms booked but on arrival we were told they had a plumbing issue & the only option was for 4 people to share a room. One of our group suggested a free dinner for the inconvenience, which the receptionist was in agreement, however a manager of sorts offered a free drink in the bar instead. Being so tired after our journey and days golf this was accepted.3 of our groups wives work in hospitality and believe the hotel either double booked or over booked. The 4 sharing the one room had one bath towel & 3 smaller towels to shower with. After contacting the reception next morning the issue was not resolved for the three nights we were there. Pre-arrival I had personally emailed the hotel about our specific requirements, 1 vegan and 1 vegetarian, the vegan member was certainly not catered for even to the degree of not providing a margarine/plant based spread for toast in the mornings. This was brought to the attention of David/ Manager who agreed he had received the email and this should have been sorted.Apart from offering our vegan member a plate of grass (in jest) we found him to be obnoxious and didn't understand what his actual role was apart from annoying the guests whilst they were trying to eat. The radiator in the room with the four guests could not be switched off so the room was unbearable especially for the bed nearest. We wont be returning to this establishment.
Great stay at the hotel. Warm welcome from the reception. Bar and restaurant staff all pleasant. Food super both the evening meal and breakfast. Would love to go back.
This is a great old-school hotel in the middle of a bustling town - brilliant bar life and great food. The rooms were spot on also - beds particularly comfortable!
Unfortunately allocated room was close to the kitchen extraction system so it was noisy. Room was very clean though. En suite could be better thought out.
Nice old hotel with good atmosphere. Sadly could do with upgrading. Lukewarm shower. Tv not working properly. Extremely handy for golf course though!
The hotel was very convenient to the course. They did an excellent job of providing a 3 course meal of good quality to a large group of 32
