0800 043 6644The Members Course at Grande Dunes is a testing par-71 layout, where the approach shots to the remarkable greens must negotiate the great expanses of water and sand. Demanding run-off areas call for a tidy short game around the Nick Price-designed Members Course (7,002 yards), which for a limited period will be playable for guests at the Marriott Grande Dunes Resort & Spa. Visually striking and exceedingly demanding, the Members is among the elite through the Carolinas.
Grande Dunes’ Resort Course is set up to welcome golfers of all abilities; it is hard to generalise the layout, as its length can vary from 5,353 yards to a staggering 7,618 yards from the tips. The fairways are wide, which is just as well if you tackle the championship tee markers, as you are sure to need the driver.
Designer Roger Rulewich was mentored by the great Robert Trent Jones Senior, and his creation at Grande Dunes has received critical acclaim since opening in 2001. This monumental layout is perched on a bluff overlooking the waterway, and is a certain highlight for golf holiday guests at the Marriott Resort.
Some 34 acres of water are intertwined with the Resort Course’s layout, so be sure to pack a few extra golf balls!
