Gramacho Course

It is one of only a few courses in the world with 18 sets of tees and fairways, but with 27 greens. This means players are able to enjoy the same course time and time again with slightly different challenges. Holes 1 through 4 and 14 through 18 have two greens each, and your approach to each hole will vary depending on which greens are in play.

Even though this course has hosted the Portuguese Ladies Open on a number of occasions, Pestana Gramacho is well-known as a championship course that is playable for all abilities, even those with a very high handicap.

Apart from the fantastic design, Fream and Price managed to incorporate the traditional landscape into the layout by using the natural stone outcrops, historical dry stone walling and existing ancient trees, along with some artfully sculpted lakes and bunkers.

Experienced golfers will certainly know that they have played a superb golf course with its testing par of 71 and a tiger tee length of nearly 6,700 yards.

Course was in good knick. Greens had been sanded previously and were a bit patchy in some areas but overall were absolutely fine. One thing I would say was the cost of the buggies ontop was €110 for 2. If they incorporated the cost of buggies into the package that would be better i think. And also they were offering 3 and 7 days stay with unlimited golf. Not sure if this was an option at the time of booking but it would of been nice to have had that offer as we definitely would of played more golf ⛳️ But again overall we were very happy.

We really enjoyed the golf course and the facilities, which were well maintained and made for an enjoyable day. Unfortunately, one aspect of our experience was disappointing. One of the marshals was quite rude and repeatedly rushed us throughout the round, asking us to hurry up on several occasions. This constant pressure took away from our enjoyment and affected our overall experience. We understand the importance of keeping play moving, but there are more courteous and professional ways to communicate with players.
