Located just 20 minutes from the heart of the Spanish Capital, Golf Santander was actually conceived by the Santander Group, one of the Spain’s largest banks. The idea was to provide a world class golf facility for city highflyers and with Rees Jones at the design helm and the legendary Seve Ballesteros designing the short game area, the job was completed when the course opened for play in 2005.
Long and seriously challenging from the back tees, but manageable for all levels of golfer thanks to multiple teeing positions on each hole, Golf Santander is a fantastic test and one of the up and coming courses in Spain.
