Woburn is a fantastic golf venue in Buckinghamshire which shares many similarities to Georgia’s most renowned golf course. Firstly, many visiting golfers at Woburn are impressed/amazed by the sheer scale of the grounds, with the feeling of its grandeur prevalent throughout all 54 holes.
Add to this the unrivalled quality of the greens and you have a great alternative for Augusta National which you can play.

Close to Dublin, Druids Glen is an absolutely beautiful resort with a course that has been dubbed the ‘Augusta of Ireland’, for a few reasons. Much like at The Masters, a trip to Druids Glen won’t be without an astonishing display of vibrant flowers which are prominent mostly on the par 3s.
Talking of which, the shorter holes at Druids Glen are simply stunning and bear a resemblance to the four you’ll find at Augusta, in particular the 8th which includes a daunting shot over water like the famous 16th overseas.

As one of the most prestigious and exclusive golf destinations in England, it only makes sense that Stoke Park makes this list of Augusta National lookalikes. The slick layout plays fast and true, with Harry Colt’s ingenious design making it a true but enjoyable test for all golfers.
However, the ties don’t end there as the 7th hole at Stoke Park actually inspired Augusta’s 16th, not the other way round and is as close as you’ll get to playing the most famous par 3 of Masters week.

South East England is littered with desirable golf courses and Foxhills is most certainly amongst the best. The Bernard Hunt course is the leading track from the three available and it’s design lends itself to a true replica of Augusta
Towering pine trees line many of the fairways, reminiscent of the area where Phil Mickelson famously played ‘that’ shot on the 13th, while sloping greens and big elevation changes are ever present throughout your round.

As the name suggests, Forest Pines’ fairways are also lined by pine trees, creating a dramatic border for some brilliantly designed holes. While big hitters are always favoured on the longer holes, some strategically placed fairway bunkers make for some essential strategic thinking...remind you of anywhere?
Around the greens you’ll also find some devastating, deep bunkers to keep you thinking, somewhat overshadowed, though, by the beautiful purple heather which from a distance could be mistaken for some azaleas.

Exclusivity runs through Sunningdale, which naturally makes a tee time here seriously tough, but unlike Augusta National, Your Golf Travel can make it happen. The Surrey heathland course receives plaudits for the quality of the course, as well as attracting golfers with a strong tournament history, similarly to Augusta.
With purple heather imitating the stunning azaleas, severe elevation changes and undulations mimic many of the holes you see every April, especially the downhill par 3 6th.
