Champ de Bataille is a fantastic layout, having been voted Normandy's finest golf course by European Golf Magazine in 2005. Often mentioned in the same breath as Wentworth and Woburn - two of England's most prestigious championship names - Champ de Bataille was designed by the American Robin Nelson, in consultation with French landscape architect Thierry Huau.

0800 043 6644The course is set in the midst of some truly special countryside; Champ de Bataille is carved into a landscape featuring mature woodland, lakes, valleys and impressive flora, and is without doubt one of the most beautiful courses you could choose to include in your golf holiday in Normandy
What a truly wonderful course. I have been lucky enough to play the likes of Kingsbarns ,Leopard Creek, the Links at Fancourt, Sandy lane Green Monkey, Gleneagles , Royal County Down etc. Little was I expecting this stunningly great course when we dove in, as it’s in the middle of nowhere. It’s tough as there are lots of trees either side of most holes, but the beauty of design of the holes made it an amazing course to play. It was visually stunning in places , and I would elevate the course to my top five (hence the list for comparison) Will definitely be back to play again.
Some great holes, 2 and 17. Tree and rough lined fairways, nice greens
What a beautiful course. It is far from the beaten track but worth the journey if you have transport. The difficulty comes from the sometimes narrow fairways and the interesting par threes and doglegs. I would recommend a buggy for this course too due to frequent inclines.
It was very wet (winter) expected great course but not this month
What a wonderful golf course and in superb condition. excellent practice facilities. the staff in the club house and pro shop could not have been more helpful. The food was excellent and could not be faulted. Overall this has been one of my most enjoyable golf experiences.
A very tight woodland course with some interesting holes on the front 9. Opens up a bit on the back 9 so good for all levels of golfers. Some long par 5’s for big hitters but need to be accurate. An enjoyable days golf.
