Since opening in 1988, Deauville Saint-Gatien has established itself as one of the most pleasant golfing destinations in Normandy, with three nine hole loops which have all been designed by Olivier Brizon. The 27 holes are set on the banks of the River Seine's estuary, and are perfect for those staying in the nearby resorts of Trouville and Deauville on a golf holiday.

0800 043 6644La Vallée heads out towards the estuary and cuts through the Barneville forest. With a number of highly technical holes, this loop demands accuracy and sound strategy above all else, and the abundant water around holes 2, 3 and 4 have seen the locals dub it ‘Amen Corner', in reference to the famous stretch at Augusta National.
La Bergerie was opened alongside La Vallée, but is slightly different; the classical holes run through impressive fir trees, and will be particularly enjoyed by the creative golfer.
The most recent addition to Deauville Saint-Gatien is La Chapelle, which has only aided the impressive character of the golf club. There is great variety within the loop, where impressive woodland, lakes and cavernous bunkers are among the obstacles to be avoided.
The course seems to be suffering from a lack of maintenance. Greens wer poor , fairawys very dry and worn. Clubhouse quite impressive but showed the general dtae of declone. We would not play the coyrse again.
Unfortunately there had been very heavy rain when we arrived so the greens were not at their best with a lot of surface water and the bunkers were unplayable. On a dry day this would be a great course for all levels of golfers. Large open fairways for beginners whilst offering long par 5’s for big hitters.
Ok staff not friendly No English spoken when we arrived Asked for 40 Euros for extra 9 holes which we refused to pay and therefore did not take up Food and drinks expensive
