0800 043 6644Golf Club Adamstals' Championship course is not the longest of courses, but narrow fairways and constant changes of elevation ensure that it takes no prisoners. The holes are luxuriously private, so well set apart that golfers rarely see their fellow players. The design includes a 19th betting hole on a sliver of spare terrain near the clubhouse: to lose out on the tricky par 3 is to pick up the tab for the drinks.
Probably the most spectacular course I have played (up with Old Head and Thracian Cliffs). Every hole was a treat for the eyes with mountain views and we were amazed how they had managed to create such a high quality course out of the terrain. Course may only measure 5,582 m but on many holes this involves driving up hill or from an elevated tee to a fairway or green a long way below. Definitely a buggy course as hilly and some long treks between holes. One or two holes where slightly misdirected shots will see ball down mountainside. Greens very good but not as quick as other courses.
