With more than 40 years of professional golf experience behind him it is no wonder that Christy O'Connor Jnr. has become one of the best designers of the modern era. At Galway Bay he has utilised every bit of his golfing knowledge to blend the already stunning natural landscape with his own masterful design and as a result, has created one of the most spectacular golfing venues in the U.K.

The hallmark of this fantastic course is the impeccable condition it is always found in with pristine fairways and lightning quick greens. The course is laid out to play like a resort venue, so in spite of its great length from the tips, a variety of tees make it playable for all standards of golfer.

Those fortunate enough to travel to Galway on a golf break will also be able to take advantage of the excellent facilities, which include a Golf Academy, and a luxurious clubhouse, looking out over the bay.

This is the type of course we were expecting to play all three times. the only complaint is there was a tournament qualifier and it took us 5 hours to play a round of golf.
