0800 043 6644The course at Fingle Glen was originally just a nine hole course when first built in 1989 but was extended to the full 18 in 2002. Further alterations and lengthening of the course occurred in 2004 and while the total yardage of 5,600 yards is by no means long, the layout and nuances of the design still offer an enjoyable test of golf.
The Fingle Glen Hotel offers 10 en-suite guestrooms, each of which features all of the modern amenities and facilities you would expect of a top class hotel. In addition to the hotel, Fingle Glen also boasts 24 Norwegian log cabins which overlook the 1st fairway and 18th green. Cabins are furnished and decorated to the highest possible standard and a handful of them boast private outdoor hot tubs.
The hotel’s restaurant, Vardon’s, is popular with guests and locals alike and is a great place to enjoy a spot of lunch or indeed an evening meal. Head Chef, Tristan Hudson, selects a menu each and every evening which guarantees great variety and the use of the freshest local produce. The Clubhouse Bar is also a great place to relax and enjoy a bite to eat or a refreshing drink.
Staff once we were at the hotel, lucy, libby and karen were great. The booking staff and your golf travel sales rep were nothing more that appalling. We booked 3 nights at 2 specific lodges with hots tubs and plenty of space outside them for £279pp for 7 of us including, cooked breakfast, 2 course dinner and unlimited golf all seemed great until I contacted fingle glen directly and it appeared that the sales rep took his commission and hadn't bothered to book this for us at all after confirming all was good twice, we were given a much poorer located lodge, no hot tub, no cooked breakfast, no 2 course dinner and no customer service from either 'yourgolftravel' and fingle glen bookings team. the sales rep didn't even bother to book tee times which he had confirmed. it was our second trip to the course and due to dire service provided before arriving it will most probably have been our last
We had a perfect few days stay at Fingle Glen and would recommend it to all.
