0800 043 6644With two fantastic 18 hole golf courses to choose from Costa Esturi Golf Club will be a fantastic addition to any golf holiday on the Spanish Algarve.
The West Course is a real brute and playing it from the back tees will require long and accurate driving. The course measures 7,300 yards from the tips and is reminiscent of the great stadium courses of the USA. Wide fairways allow some margin for error but stray too far from the tee and thick rough and the occasional water hazard awaits. Imaginatively shaped greens require precise approach shots and, as with many of the courses in this region, the greens are slick and true meaning if you knock it close birdies are a real possibility.
The slightly shorter East Course still requires plenty of oomph from the tee as it measures a healthy 6,900 yards from the back tees. The fairways follow the natural lay of the land that slopes towards the Guadiana River and as an overall test it is far more technical than the West Course. Sound course management and a well thought strategy will stand you in good stead.
The two courses here offer contrasting challenges which is ideal for the travelling golfer looking to get a feel for the variety of courses on offer in this famous golfing region.
