Nice modern hotel, clean and spacious, well served by friendly helpful staff. Clientele were mostly golfers playing at the nearby club, with many in large groups. Buffet restaurant provided a good range of freshly cooked food. Bar was reasonably priced. Bedrooms were similarly spacious with balcony overlooking the golf course. On site parking is expensive at 16 euros per day. However, when we were there there was ample safe parking in the street.
Costa Ballena's golf course is the focal point of the resort's massive development, and since its inception in 1997 it has established itself among the best in Andalucia. The layout was designed by Ryder Cup star and winning-captain, Jose María Olazabal, and has become a regular choice for top national and international amateur events, in addition to being selected to host a European Tour qualifying event.
