There are two golf courses at Circolo Golf Torino La Mandria, the first was created in 1956 by the renowned English golf course architect John Morrison who managed to create a unique British character which helps to set it apart from all of the other golf courses in the area.
The special character of the course is due to the fact that “everything is built around golf” – there are no roads or buildings, or any other obstacles for you to avoid, except the stunning unspoilt natural surroundings.
In the years that followed the clubs opening a further 18 holes were designed and added by Studio Harris and architects Marco Croze and Graham Cooke. Today the courses are known as the Blue Course and the Yellow Course. Both are similar in style and both play to a par of 72. Natural water hazards, such as streams and ponds, are constant obstacles as are the ancient trees which surround each of the holes.
A 9-hole Pitch & Putt Course was added recently – a feature that makes the Circolo Golf Torino La Mandria a one of a kind attraction, in terms of golf complexes in Piedmont.
The Club House was constructed in the late 1950s after being designed by Attilio Biral. Today it boasts a lively bar and a superb restaurant, run by the Garino family. Outside there is a swimming pool (only open to people accompanied by club members).
Circolo Golf Torino La Mandria is also the local stomping ground for the Molinari brothers, Edoardo and Francesco. Both are international golfers who have played in the world’s biggest golfing tournaments, including the 2009 World Cup and the 2010 and 2012 editions of the Ryder Cup.
Circolo Golf Torino La Mandira is ranked as one of the best courses in Italy
