0800 043 6644Situated between Borgo Egnazia and the Adriatic Sea, the emerald fairways of the San Domenico golf course beckon guests to discover the delights of one of southern Italy's most engaging courses. This 18-hole, 6,900-yard, par-72 course has been constructed to the highest standards, with greens conforming to USGA Specifications.
Running through a plantation of coastal olive groves, the tees and greens offer magnificent sea views, providing a relaxed backdrop for the course's innovative design.
Sea winds add an additional challenge and can make a mockery of the yardage chart. Apart from one large lake, cunningly situated to potentially catch your first tee shot, the course has a very links-like feel to it, with main defences consisting of pot bunkers, undulating fairways and desert-like waste areas.
The adjacent clubhouse is stylish and serves up delicious snacks and meals, while there's also a superb golf academy, pro shop and driving range.
Borgo Egnazia has quickly become one of the Mediterranean's leading luxury resorts. In addition to the main hotel, a separate village offers one and two-bedroom townhouses surrounding a central piazza, all of which come with in-room safes and mini-bars.
Guestrooms are housed in the main hotel building, while suites can be found in the townhouses which were inspired by the hillside towns of Ostuni and Cisternino.
All the rooms are stunningly appointed. Outfitted in calming shades of white, they help prodiuce a tranquil ambiance, bringing the outside in with airy interiors and floods of natural light. Twenty-eight three-bedroom villa units provide the most exclusive accommodation, each featuring a private pool, garden and roof terrace. Throughout the property, every superbly crafted detail reflects the region's history and architecture, from the locally sourced, hand-cut limestone to the flowering bougainvillea and jasmine of the enclosed Arab gardens.
Upholding the country's reputation for exceptional cuisine, Borgo Egnazia entices guests with two different Puglia restaurants, each fusing innovative flavours with authentic regional fare. Al fresco dining can be enjoyed amid brilliant sunshine and sweeping views of the Adriatic Sea, while indoor venues offer their own distinct atmosphere through traditional vaulted ceilings and intimate fireplaces.
Pleast note: The various Bars & Rstaurants available have seasonal opening times.
The other facilities include three swimming pools, tennis courts, kids club, games room with billiards and board games, library and a cooking school. There's also a complimentary shuttle to the private beach.
Best hotel I’ve ever stayed with. Extremely luxury experience at a ridiculously low price. Restaurants are all very premium but worth the money in my opinion, so expect to spend a bit more when you get to the resort.
This hotel is very special and is a definite destination visit. It is a serene Oasis with outstanding paired back decor. Quit stunning. The staff were all local and extremely committed and friendly. It is situated beside a local fishing village which was perfect to eat in in the evenings. The local sights are a must visit.

Great course - only minor downsides were the volume of unrepaired pitch marks and slow play at times (especially when following the tournament groups on Saturday). Fairly long course that can play very long when the wind is up. Minimal OB areas but rough is much more challenging than it looks. Overall a good test but still playable for all handicap ranges.
The golf course was in great condition with very helpful relaxed staff. And we played the course 4 times and it felt like a different course each time. The wind was a big playing factor with the exposed location. Great fun. We played in no wind and extreme wind over our four rounds. The good in the club house was good and not expensive. Great holiday.
