0800 043 6644Steel has created a fantastic variety of holes between the cliff edge and the ravines that are formed by Tenerife's spectacular geological history. The most amazing holes are those around the higher points, particularly the 5th, where visiting golfers will have to pluck up some serious courage to drive the ball over the sea towards the fairway.
Amarilla is not the longest, but its spectacular location makes it a favourite of regular visitors to the Tenerife and is well worth a game during your next golfing holiday to the sun-kissed island.

The course was great with large greens that were hard to read initially with slight undulations for a great experience. A good all round course for all handicap golfers.
Great course the 2 par 3's over the water are great
challenging and tight fairways. Cross winds . Lightning fast greens so you had to be careful😅
Great course not as nice as Adeje but very enjoyable course
The course was having a lot of work done to it the second time we played it took over 5 hours
Bit of building work going on around surrounding area, which i presume was out of the clubs hands, but just made some parts of the course look tatty, however the course was in quite good condition.
Could do with starter and better marshalling
condition of the course and facilities not the best but ok, especially when compared to the other courses we played. noticeable drop in standard.
A lot of money being spent which is much needed. If you didn’t hit the fairway you were in red stake area on virtually every hole - very tight course
Little Gem great service too. Some spectacular holes and definitely glad we played it.
The wind made the course difficult. Some of the views were spectacular.
Good course. Greens scarily fast. Staff and facilities good. Shame the weather was mixed
Great golf course with excellent facilities, We had an issue with the booking they only had 12 golfers instead of 16 but rectified the problem, also buggies were included
A long course given the distance from green to tee on some holes. A lot of construction going on alongside the course - a bit of a building site in places.
An odd course with groups of holes intersected by roads and apartments. A bit hit and miss. Some very nice holes. Greens were very fast. Clubhouse small and basic but welcoming.
A Course/Club requiring ‘investment’. Facilities generally rundown with many areas lacking evidence of care. I would not come back to play here
Playing on February 15-20mph windy, sunny, dry weather, occasional waiting, but generally a delightful experience and round of golf.
Good course for couples. Nice views especially out to sea if you ignore all the construction. Greens and fairways in good condition. Good bar and restaurant facilities with lovely views. Asked for vouchers which YGT did not provide. Luckily we took our paperwork which they photocopied.
The views of the coast are lovely and the course itself has some interesting holes but speed of play is a real issue when there is no starter or marshalls. One of our rounds here was 5 hours and we waited on every shot. The other was must better. There isn't enough time between games hence the hold ups.
No starter so slow staff not great
Our favourite course of the week and one we will definitely visit again next year
Planes going over, obviously, not a bad course, would not go back there.
Decent course although nothing mind blowing.. amazing 8th hole stands out in the memory
Much better condition than Golf de sur. Pretty ,great views,
Cheap buggies at 20 euros
Best greens all week! This is the first time we've played here due to comments from previous visitors. If you ignore some of the building work going on and some derelict areas this course is worth a visit. The 1st hole is now over the road and not outside the clubhouse and they were rebuilding the 3rd tee when we played so we had to play off the red tee. Buggies were only 20 euros where others were 40.
lovely golf course with some very interesting holes and some beautiful views.
A strange course very disjointed. The greens were being worked on with the first three holes out of play. We played it three times and enjoyed it. Not one to walk.
Slow
Best course of the 3
Lovely course. 5 hour round was the only downside
Needed Marshall’s. 5hrs but ok
Amarilla is a very enjoyable course with a nice variety of holes and views. We played 2 rounds and the first round was a good a speed but the second was slow, due to the group in front losing 2 holes.
Course has improved since the last time i played there , hole layout has changed and they now have a marina . Enjoyable day however the clubhouse now being used is disappointing in comparison with the original . Worth a visit .
Lovely location and many interesting holes!
Amarilla felt a little more like a members club than some courses in the area. It was mostly in very good condition, but there was a little maintenance/improvement work going on and the impact of overnight rain was evident in a few places. The course was enjoyable and a little quirky, if quite benign because there was no wind at all. We went out early with two Irishmen, one of whom now lived locally, who were great company, and we went round in only 4 hours. Food and drink in the clubhouse afterwards was high quality and very cheap. Great fun!
Quite a difficult course with the friends I was playing with(high handicaps)
Yet again the course was too near the flight path and so noisy.
excellent greens - by far the best You need a buggy here - some long walks without one
Booking errors had us under wrong name and at different tee times from booking. Staff were very helpful and friendly and allowed the requested two 3 balls as well. Round was slow but not as bad as gold del sur. Course generally in good condition
Lovely course with fab views and some great views. Lovely traditional clubhouse, lovely bar. Transfers punctual.
The fairways and greens were in good condition, but the tees were very shabby. Also, nobody's GPS worked correctly, so guess they have changed the layout at some time. The clubhouse was very poor. No changing facilities and very small bar area. The driving range not good. Overall a bit like a local municipal.
Nice welcome and friendly but it showed it was a municipal course.the greens was terrible the semi rough way to long.
Enjoyable
Most fairways had just been hollow tinned. Course was scruffy and not in good condition.
The course was very average and expensive and not good value for money . As a 2 ball we were placed with other Golfers and that was ok . It was an incredibly slow round ( with 4 balls in front of us who were complete beginners . It took just under 3 hours to play 9 holes so we gave up after 9?At one stage there were 4 groups queuing up on one hole . Overall a bad experience and I would not recommend that this course in the future .
This course is memorable for the short par 3 over rocks and sea and walkers ( the scariest shot we’ve ever taken!!!). There was another good par 3 by the water otherwise an unremarkable course but suitable for all handicaps.
Really enjoyed Amarilla but you need to be hitting it pretty straight to get around 'unscathed'. Quite a few tee shots which if you miss left or right result in an immediate lost ball. Overall condition was good but a bit scruffy in places.
Course re numbered so lots of confusion at start. No explanation offered by starter.Worth playing if located in South
Really good 👍
Volume of people playing made it a very slow round. Otherworldly sw Course was good and scenic
Beautiful course beautiful views everything you want when you go abroad
Greens not in great condition and club facilities quite old and a bit shabby
I loved this course! The views were amazing! The course is interesting with a couple of narrow fairways which caught me out on my drives! The views of the sea and the approach to some of the greens are just spectacular. The greens are quick but true so putting is interesting. Loved the course and the views and would highly recommend playing!
The course was good, winds its way around a mixture of houses and scrubland. Greens were good but facilities were limited. People were great and friendly.
Fun
Enjoyed this course however was put out with 3 older foreign players so language was difficult
We would not return or certainly at this time of year. We were supposed to tee off at 12.36 but didn’t tee off until 12.50. It was a harbinger of things to come. Let’s say it was slow. Very slow. Some 5 hrs 5 mins slow. Frankly it was farcical. No marshalling. Nothing. The greens were stupidly quick (I’ve played all over the world and know my greens) and there was GUR everywhere compounded by other barren areas where obviously they couldn’t be bothered sorting it. The slow play, low flying aircraft ( its directly under the airport flight path) and greens just spoiled the whole experience. But the speed of play was just awful. I challenged the reception about this and they could not answer. Their manager came out and said 4 hours is quite average but when I told her about out 5+ hrs she then said that the course was just busy. Hello, yes ..that’s the point. You’re playing too many on the course. We had to play this course again with a morning tee off time. It took 4hrs 15 which was better. I appreciate that post pandemic you have to catch up but this was stretching everything too far. To be fair the staff were very friendly and the coffee was good. Bottom line is we’ll never return.
Check in on a Saturday was chaotic and understaffed. The practice facilities were not adequate…no range balls and no one to assist. The course is exposed (to say the least) so be prepared for very windy conditions. It is also under the flight path! There are some very pretty holes with lots of challenges. Buggy strongly advised.
Need a buggy Decent course with some exciting par 3s beside the sea Some unattractive areas beside the fairway
Course in very good condition - fast greens
Thoroughly enjoyed the course.
Enjoyed course, very picturesque with lots of features. Buggy needed else would take over four and a half hours.
This course has the best variety of holes and some very challenging. The course maintenance leaves a lot to be desired with many bare patches. Tricky greens but enjoyable
Disappointed with the condition of this course (Feb20) bit rough round the edges. Expensive for what it is
Ditto
Really welcoming and helpful staff at the pro shop. Buggy and starter all customer focussed. Practise facilities were good. The course itself was difficult and greens nearly unplayable do to the firmness of the ground.
The course is nice some interesting holes some areas need attention although the greens are very good. Be prepared for some long walks between holes
For me, the best course we played.
Our round was marred by the terrible slowness (5 hours and 15 minutes!) and there didn't seem to be any marshalling. Some lovely views over the sea. Some of the fairways were in poor condition with extensive bare patches but the greens were OK. Nice little pitch and putt course also available.
Enjoyable
Lovely course. Sea views with some interesting holes. Fast greens.
Of the 5 courses we played, this was by far the worse. The fairways were poor with a lot of GUR and the greens had been sanded that morning.
they watered the last 6 holes heavily and covered them in treatment/seaweed as we was playing the round. Greens were good until that point, then they were runied
Very enjoyable and the scenery is fantastic
Very well designed but slightly unloved course, but interesting to play.
The challenge of this course was somewhat wind dependant. On a calm day it was enjoyable and, given a reasonable degree of accuracy off the tee, playable at or around current handicap levels. However, when the wind blows the precision required off the tee becomes quite a challenge; in many places a missed fairway means red hazard and/or an unplayable lie. There is little “rough” in the English sense of the word, but it’s hard to play from bare lies and lava rock! The greens were generally quick with numerous borrows. Clubhouse staff were welcoming and pleasant. The views from the holes by the sea and the marina are beautiful.
We both enjoyed the course, but things were very slow, painfully slow in places, so this impacted our performance a bit. Otherwise not bad.
Definately need a buggy.
Tees, fairways and greens all in good condition but the surrounding areas are not very pleasant with the area being waste ground. Nice outdoor terrace and reasonably priced. The practice area is next to the 1st tee. Given 5 free buggies making a real savings.
