With golf becoming more and more about length, Your Golf Travel.com Chief Executive Ross Marshall set about trying to hit the longest 7-iron in history, in hitting from the highest tee in Africa – Mount Kilimanjaro. On completion of the multi-day trek, Ross took out his trusty Mizuno 7-iron and with an almighty swipe very nearly fell off the top of the mountain!
Mount Kilimanjaro was the first of his 2010 Hatrick Challenge to raise money for the fantastic Help for Heroes charity. April will see Ross take part in the London Marathon with the final part of his challenge taking place in November at the New York Marathon. The former Durham and Harlequins rugby man is confident of posting a sub-four hours time in both. You can follow his progress and donate via his Just Giving site.
