We played the Nicklaus course on quite a windy day which made it even tougher. The course was in great condition especially the fairways. There’s some great holes on the course especially on the back nine and it is really is a great test of course. There is more emphasis on accuracy rather than length however we were playing off the yellow tees. I do think higher handicaps may struggle a little. The second day we played the revamped Kernow course which was a pleasant surprise. The course again was in excellent condition. There were a few short par 4s which were driveable and par 5s which were easily reachable in 2 but there are some great par 3s and on the whole we all enjoyed playing the Kernow.
The clubhouse was a little disappointing, badly signposted outside so we had no idea where the 19th was and a little bit lacking inside. Fortunately they did have skysports on and some decent beer at normal prices. The staff on the whole though were all very friendly and helpful, especially the guys in the pro shop and reception. The money spent on the hotel is a definite improvement particularly the rooms which were so much better than the last time we visited. On the whole we had a great weekend, the Nicklaus course is a fantastic course and the Kernow is enjoyable too. Definitely worth a visit! The service we received from your golf travel was very good and could not be faulted. Will definitely be using your services again.
