As a Founder and CEO of Your Golf Travel, I felt it important to write to you during these times of uncertainty caused by the recent demise of Thomas Cook PLC.
Firstly, I want to be clear that YGT is not connected to Thomas Cook PLC, and our financial position remains strong. We are a privately-owned independent business and we are proud to be the largest golf travel business in the world. We send away hundreds of thousands of golfers annually to over 3,500 destinations worldwide. We are a fully bonded and insured tour operator with ABTA membership, and hold ATOL and IATA licenses, so your holiday will always be fully secure with us and financially protected under our Terms and Conditions. 2019 has been a fantastic year to date as the business has set new trading records, for which we are very thankful to you, our loyal customers.
A small minority of our clients who have purchased a holiday with Your Golf Travel, will have been booked to fly on a Thomas Cook aircraft. Our internal support teams have been busy finding alternative airlines for these customers to ensure all holidays go ahead with minimal disruption. All affected travellers will be informed of their new flight details as soon as possible. For clients who have already booked and paid the deposit for their holiday, in the majority of cases, the price of the holiday will remain unaffected.
Some clients will have chosen to book their own flights independently of us, and some of you may have purchased fights with Thomas Cook. If you have booked a Thomas Cook flight directly, you will need to rebook your flights with another airline, so that your holiday can go ahead. As ever, we remain fully committed to the highest possible standards of customer care in order to maximize your golf travel experience.
