PUMA Golf is fast becoming one of the coolest brands in golf – thanks in large part to Rickie Fowler – and now it has unveiled a shoe that it says is its most comfortable yet: a bold claim from a company that has prided itself on its lightweight shoes for some time.
The Titantour Ignite collection uses a new foam to give extra cushioning through the shot – which PUMA claims releases energy more efficiently. It was debuted by Fowler at last month’s Presidents Cup.
“The coolest shoe in golf is now the most comfortable shoe we’ve ever made,” said Grant Knudson, Head of Footwear at PUMA Golf. “We challenge ourselves to create footwear that helps golfers focus on their game instead of thinking about their feet. With the Titantour Ignite collection, golfers can play from dawn ’til dusk and their feet will be comfortable, protected and performance ready.”
There’s a host of other new tech in the full-grain leather shoe, including the PWRCOOL temperature regulator, a premium dual density polyurethane sockliner and anatomically positioned flex grooves that allow the foot to move naturally while still providing support.
The shoe will retail at £130 and be available in a range of colours from February 2016.
