Without doubt, Seve Ballesteros has had one of the greatest influences on the world of sport. Although his English wasn’t always perfect, he was fluent in being a gentleman, role model and inspiration to all. Thanks for the memories Seve.
If you’ve got a favourite Seve moment, or reason why he was so good, please fill in a comment at the bottom of this article – would be great to hear what everyone’s memories were of Seve.

There is information on a number of different initiatives on there to raise awareness and money for research into Brain Tumours. In coming months there are opportunities for golfers to get involved in events with the foundation such as a chance to be Rory McIlroy’s caddie in the BMW Pro-Am at Wentworth and also what looks set to be one of the largest amateur golf events in recent times with The Seve Challenge for golf clubs across the UK to do battle in their attempt to become the champion club.
